Caladan Gallery has selected the following from my 20/20 series for inclusion in the upcoming exhibition "Dreaming in Pursuit of Memory":

the gallery notes, "It is really amazing, for lack of a more descriptive and appropriate word, how many submissions we received that took this idea and extended it far beyond conception and expectation. Accordingly, many of the images depicted daydreams, something we hadn’t considered or pondered in the realization of this exhibition, which delights us; indeed, the daydream many times is centered above and on our memories. This causes us to ask the question "What is the difference between a dream in sleep and that which manifests in the light of day? What is the arrangement of the brain cells of memory that form to create these dreams?" Endlessly fascinating, within the upcoming exhibition are some answers." The dates for the on-line posting of this exhibition will be May 10 – June 14, 2009. After that, the exhibition will be available for viewing as an archive for a number of months.

knoxville airport

The Arts and Culture Alliance juried ART SHOW will be showing in the Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport.................the first show that I have been in that requires security check prior to viewing.

If you are traveling to Knoxville or just passing through, be sure to catch the show. The piece selected by the jury is boulevard victor.......from the 20/20 series.

Abstract Exposure

There is a website called Abstract Exposure that has periodic online exhibitions. The point is to get noticed online as a competitor and there is a small prize for the winner. Check out the current exhibition..........as I am showing there.

ARTRAW projects streaming

I have been asked by several to post a link to the opening event at ArtRaw Projects gallery in New York on Thursday, February 19, 2009. The event will be streaming live so should be fun to watch. I also have a friend, Jacquleine D. Allison that will be showing at the same event. Tune in and watch for our pieces. 7-9 p.m. EST. should be limited or no commercial interruptions.

50th Annual Juried Art Competition -San Diego

The pieces for the 50th Annual Juried Art Competition at San Diego Art Institute's Museum of the Living Artist have been selected. My mixed media piece, screw your courage to the sticking place, was selected to be shown in this exhibition. The show opens on March 20, 2009 and runs through May 10, 2009. If you are in the area. stop in and check it out. The title comes from Shakespeare's play, MACBETH, which is collaged into the piece.

ART: RAW Projects New York City

Start spreading the news...my pieces are shipping this week to New York City. They will be part of an emerging artist show in West Chelsea, NY. This is the inaugural exhibit for art raw gallery, and will open on February 19, 2009 and run through March 21 2009. The gallery is located at 210 Eleventh Ave, 905 [@ W25th St]New York, NY 10001. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm. There are 300 artists displayed in this show. These were selected from over 25,000 submittals.
This is my NY debut.
